What app is everyone use to using that's so much better? I have Govee all over my house, inside and out. I set timers, pick a color theme and that's that. only time I'm in the app is at holidays to change themes and update on/off timer to better align with the seasons. Anyway. I'm in for 2, thanks for sharing!

If you look at Hue's version they're priced $170-180 for a single light wall light, so here you get two. This is their latest model and is built pretty well. They also have a cheaper model at $99 right now for two.
All the Govee products feel cheap. That's fine for a $20 RGB strip behind a TV or desk, but no way I'd install a hardwire Govee fixture on my home exterior.
Plus the app is total garbage. I do have a dream view TV setup along with accompanying wall lights. Highly recommend skipping the app when dealing with any Govee product and run it through Home Assistant via Govee to MQTT bridge addon.

The permanent outdoor lights are great. This things look ugly af though.
Does anyone know if you can turn on/off the top, bottom or sides independent of the other areas? For instance if I wanted only the top on is that possible?

I'll agree the app is garage. Really hard to understand and use. I don't agree that their products are cheap though. I have 6 canless lights installed on my back porch. Way cheaper than the Hue canless lights I have inside the house. They work really well and I'm happy with them.
I also have permanent light strings out back and front, along with 2 LED strips equalling 200 feet, not outdoor rated. One of them had rain directly on it for several storms over 2 years and it's finally starting to have problems.

We have four of these installed in front of the house. They work well, and we've actually had people stop to ask where we bought them, so looks are not an issue--especially compared to the ugly carriage lights that these replaced.
same! i like these but my existing carriage lights on front door and garage doors provide light to take my dog into the front yard - these look like the type of lights a hotel would have a huge row of to light a sidewalks

can you help me decide? my 4 ugly carriage lights light up my driveway and at least a little of front yard and sidewalk / the straight up/down lighting here - does it somehow light reasonably well beyond up and down?

Totally agree, shame really

I thought the same but, to me, these look good when installed.App is a little weird but worked great for holiday lights and now I just put on a warm white and use the app's on/off timer. Absolutely no issues.
