If you've never played Comamnder, any off the shelf deck is fine enough to give it a try with friends or at a store. Some decks are just better out of the box than others, particularly the new Final Fantasy decks or Tarkir ones. But you can always give it a try and find an archetype that tickles your flavor of Tylenol. Beginner friendly stores usually have folks that will let you play with one of their decks in a pod to try out something different.

Or you can just buy the deck for $25 from Amazon.
This is a starter deck and priced accordingly, but if you play Commander and want access to some reasonable budget cards for a custom deck, there's no reason to not get this for this price, especially since it has been $75 for a long chunk of its existence.

Picked up all 5 for $135 after tax, so not bad. Looks like the 5-pack, which is no longer available (likely because Amazon was sending duplicates of certain decks instead of one of each), has been as low as $90 in the past. Compared to MSRP though, still a pretty great deal and a fantastic gift to get family/friends into the game.
