Generally BJs is more expensive, but they accept coupons. The other thing, they have much less traffic comparing to either Costco or Sams

Worked for me. But something messed up while checking out. I got put on as a household member, so I can't log in as the account holder and cancel auto renew. I'll have to go in to the club and customer service and get it fixed.

Perfect timing for this, as our membership just expired. I originally tried by logging in to my account on a new web page and entering the code. No luck. I closed out of it and used the link right here in this post and it updated itself right away to the $5 renewal. Great deal!!! Thanks, OP

I have a Costco membership too.
Don't know a about you, but I went to BJs this morning. I did not have to search for parking or walk 2 miles after parking in the Costco parking lot and I was in and out pf BJs in under 30 minutes. If this was Costco, I would have to fight the hordes in the parking lot before even making it to the entrance. Not to mention, intending to shop for 5 items and walking out with 50.

Your membership was not renewed but your remainder term was upgraded to Plus membership for $5. This deal is only for memberships that are not active at the time of renewal, basically BJ's is renewing expired memberships for $5.

I made the same mistake and went thru the payment process without realizing that I was upgrading my membership, not renewing it, had to call to cancel the upgrade.
