$287 for replacement toners. so, this is basically a 'use and throw' printer, buy a new one with toner.
I'm sure you can find toners cheaper elsewhere or wait til staples has their 50% back in rewards on ink/toner promos.

What can you use Staples rewards on? Is this just like Khols points that aren't actually same as cash? Why this specific model of brother printer versus the other ones that are about the same price?

no, wouldn't compare them to Kohls points.

You can use the rewards online or in store on any merchandise (not valid for gift cards, postage, that sort of thing) however, you can stack their rewards with coupons that are not rewards promos (either Staples or Manufacturer) and you can price match to all major retailers like Amazon and Walmart so you don't have to 'overpay'.

You can not 'roll' rewards onto other earn rewards purchases.

The rewards never expire as long as you have activity (I think it is 12 months rolling calendar)
and they can be redeemed in $1 increments. so if your total is $10.49, you'd have to pay the 49c.

I posted this printer because it is very 'feature' loaded and Brother models have a good reputation. I've used Brother myself for the last 18 years. You can probably google youtube reviews online to compare any models you are looking at.

Thanks for the reply. I too have been looking for a deal on a Brother laser printer but trying to decide what model to get has been a chore. So I could use the points, once earned to get a hefty discount on OEM toner?

yes, you can use it on toner, but price match it if you find it cheaper elsewhere (same item) so you get the most bang for your rewards points.

Trying to get the rewards program straight. One dollar spent equals one reward point unless in a bonus category or situation. Turning in rewards gets $.005 per point (one half cent).

Just to be clear, for this printer deal to get the full reward mentioned in the OP, I would say you would need to have Technology and Accessories as one of your bonus points categories?

Further 50% back in points is what? $215 in spendable points which is 43000 points? If that's one of my bonus categories will I get 2x that amount? That would be slick

And lastly, the Paypal pay in 4 shows up for me as well should I choose that payment route. Could knock it effectively down another 20% if one considers PayPal dollars to be on par with US dollars

I'm confused, isn't it 200 points per dollar benefit towards a new purchase? So wouldn't the points rewards be more like $107.50?

No, it is 50% back in points on the purchase price. so a $430 printer would earn you $215. This isn't a 200 points per dollar regular rewards deal,

Just like the batteries offer today that pays 100% back in rewards, if you spend $40 on batteries with activated offer, you'll get $40 back in rewards.
