Why couldn't I just put ice cream in a food processor. Pulse it until the consistancy is good and just pipe it out of a frosting bag? Is there something I am missing?

During my half hour of research just now, I'm going with the deluxe for $150. It has 24-oz jars and has the built in ability to process half a jar at a time. While soft serve sounds fun, it adds complexity and size. Plus I'd rather not have to clean that too.

I have the deluxe, I want the Swirl BUT.... I don't even use it enough to justify getting one
