PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

I've been waiting for this deal to drop.

As others have already mentioned, last year's deal was $2.99/month (99¢ for Hulu plus the $2 D+ add-on).

I already get Hulu (w/ads) for free through my T-Mobile account, so if I get this, it's basically $5 for Disney+. Is there any way to get just Disney+ for less than $5/month?

Update: Ah, I see previous posts with the Kroger deal. I'll have to consider that instead. Do I need to have a Kroger nearby? Or can I subscribe to the Kroger service from outside their service area and just not use the free delivery?

How bad are the ads? Kid loved Disney+ but the cost is unmanageable. This is more realistic... Are they every 5 second?

I have the same free Hulu through Tmobile. I checked Hulu's site and it said that add-ons are not supported through T-mobile.

The commercials don't bother me. I grew up on cable tv. What bugs me is that after a while they'll throw a message up asking if you're still watching and if you don't click "yes" after a certain amount of time; it'll automatically turn off. That bothers me because I usually sleep to adult animation shows like Bobs Burgers and Family Guy. When they go off automatically I tend to wake up because my room is dark. I can't sleep unless the TV is on. My Apple TV shuts off after the Hulu app stops streaming. So that's what annoys me. Same thing with the Xfinity streaming app. After four hours they want to know if you're still watching. There's no settings to turn that off on either app.

I got this deal last year for $1 without Disney+. Wondering if they'll offer Hulu with Ads without Disney+ on Black Friday. I watch Hulu for adult animation. I don't watch Disney programming. Might have to go back to using Plex tbh.

I will never go back to Disney. They swapped prices when I was still under contract for 2.99. So watch your bills. They are shady.
