PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

Sign up with a different email address. That's how I've been doing it for the last few years. The conditional terms have been the same each time. I switch back and forth between two different emails for this. Things like profiles and watch lists have to be rebuilt the first time but that's not hard to do.

Also, don't know why the down vote as I'm explaining pretty clearly how to get the deal while still being a current subscriber.

Nah people are exaggerating... I'd estimate about 10% ad time so 3 minutes of ad for a 30-minute episode. For a 2-hour movie I'd guess 3-5 ad breaks maybe 1-2 minute each?

However those Disney mini episodes that are 3-5 minutes long are unwatchable as you'd be watching 1 minute of ad for a very short video

Hulu/Disney is hands down the best BF streaming deal in terms of size and quality of content

I could be wrong, but I would be surprised if this was an offer on the platinum card. The platinum card has a $25 monthly streaming credit, which includes Disney/Hulu, as a standard benefit. I know that other cards have this offer though.

Ads are an important part of their revenue, that's how they pay their bills. Always have and always will. You can elect to pay more and go for ad free, this is America you have that choice. I grew up with ads and for me they're bathroom and snack breaks and also time to check my phone and texts. No big deal at all.

For those wondering if this is the replacement for the annual Hulu deal, I am near certain it is. The Hulu deal was always through GMA and when you click on the link it's in fact a GMA deal.

I doubt it, this has been a lost leader for them for years and I expected it to go up to $5. I'll buy it for 8 or 9 months then cancel when I run out of things to watch which will re-qualify me for next years deal if I want it. I still think $5 is well worth it for all we get for that price.

If you don't want ads than pay for an ad free plan. Others subscribing to an ad supported plan in exchange for a cheaper rate shouldn't affect you.

They aren't going to get rid of ads and price the service at the ad supported cost
