PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

You're paying for content... if you don't want ads you have the option to pay more. What are you complaining about?
Not sure your age, but there was a time where ads were called "commercials" and they came on TV during shows, which were free to watch for all, no subscriptions required. If you do a deep dive, make sure to look up "basic cable" and "premium channels" for the glory days of HBO before they succumbed to ads.

1 yr, $59.88. If you have a 15% offer (max $24) on a card, such as WF Autograph, that makes it $50.90, plus 3x on streaming on the original charge $59.88 or $1.80. Total: $49.10.

AMEX Blue Cash Everyday: $11.99 for Disney+ only/mo, less $7 credit/mo = $4.99/mo, plus 1x earn on $11.99 each month, or $0.12. Total: $4.87/mo or $58.44.

This BF deal is better than AMEX BCE.
Is that $12.99 Disney+ only package the ad supported version? I can't find a deal to make the Premium Disney+ package that price unless you go with the ad-supported plan. They're really pushing the package plan it seems, because it's hard to get Disney+ only options except through their support page.

It seems to best option if you don't want ads is the $14.99 a month Hulu+Disney Premium plan. Or am I missing something?

The premium deal is the best option. Hulu premium without Disney is usually $19.99 or more and you get both for $14.99

Just sign up with a new email and cancel your previous subscription. It's not complicated.

Been waiting for this, the price hikes are a shame tho.
2 years ago this was $2, last year it was $3 and it's $5.
The access to new Disney movies, FX Hulu shows and the simpson library is worth it I think.
Yep, price hikes on streaming services are making these not awesome deals yet still better than regular price so its either this or avoiding the services.
Apple is the worse one charging $6 for the service with the least amount of content.

you mean like cable tv?
With cable tv, you have a DVR. That's how you avoid ads.

You should be able to just add this current deal and bill to the AMEX and you'll get 4.99 back monthly for 3 months.

Kinda lame that they're offering $8 off the base plan, but only $5 off the ad-free tier. BUT with the $7 monthly AMEX Blue Cash Everyday credit I still think Premium is the way to go, as Hulu/Disney+ is arguably the biggest offender when it comes to intrusive and excessive ads.

Yep, that's what I ended up going with. I had an existing monthly Disney+ sub I was going to cancel for a 3-month deal for $10 a month, but it would revert to $19 a month after that. $15 a month for a year for D+ and Hulu Premium is worth it for me. It's stupid you have to create a new account, or skip between 2 accounts each year, but it is what it is I guess.

does the hulu side take a while to activate? D+ was instant. If I go to hulu it wants me to sign up for a plan using the same account I created on D+.
Go to your disney 'manage account', scroll down & u can activate hulu there. Then u can use hulu app separately.

I have the American Express $7 credit available.
If I sign up for hulu/disney deal at $5, add HBO at $3 = $8 total, will American Express issue the full $7/month credit for a net of $1. Thanks…
