PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

ABC/Disney will be hitting dangerously close to monopoly territory, at some point. Is there anything they don't own? I'm sure they tried to buy Netflix, at some point.

Yeah, the great thing about innovation and forward progress is we got streaming services over the internet which made watching TV cheaper and ad-free. Now we've devolved back to a shitter version of cable TV, because maximizing profit for shareholders is more important than making the service better for customers.

Nice. My Disney+ & Hulu + ads bundle had gone up from intro offer pricing to $13-something a month last month. So I logged in to see if they'd give me a retention discount when I went to cancel ($6.99 for 3 months to keep me).

I canceled. And best of all, it said I can watch until the end of the day today, 11/27 - immaculate coincidence that I won't get billed again.

Signed up for HBO max @ $2.99/mo for a year half a second later. Beats trying to make a new D+/Hulu account to get this promo and then adding on HBO. I watch Roku's free Top Gear channel 95% of the time anyway.

The Boost membership also comes with Hulu and Disney just like this deal. I guess the one difference is that you are paying for the whole year with Boost while the deal in this thread is month to month with a guaranteed price for the year.
