PSA: If you don't need the Hulu and happen to live near a Krogers, you can get Kroger Boost membership (free same day delivery) + Disney included for $50 for 1 year (Black Friday, half off membership price). That's like $4 a month. I already get Hulu for $1.99 with student discount, so I went the Kroger route instead

TY for sharing. Will still do this but it's a tougher call at $5. Hulu is worth $0 to me and Disney Plus is iffy, at best.

We're very active new retirees. Because we don't sit in front of the TV, we don't have any TV service through internet. OTA for what very little we watch. I would like to watch FoxNews, though. I know Hulu carries it. Is there any way to get Hulu without also buying an internet provider's TV package? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can but only with the standard HBO subscription. My Amex card gives $7 back from Hulu subscription every month. What I did last year is, get $3 Hulu+Disney, add HBO add-on for $17. So, my total cost was $13/month for Hulu(ads)+Disney(ads)+HBO(no ads)
Did this with Amex Platinum, so the $22 total is reimbursed (up to $25 monthly).

However there's some problem authenticating the HBO app with Hulu credentials today for some accounts. I was in a long chat with HBO support and they told me it is being fixed, but for the time being gave me a 14-day free trial of HBO to let me watch, since I already paid anyway.

How do you get Hulu to work? Yet to get an email, been 24 hours.
Go to manage account in the disney app, scroll down & activate hulu. Then u can use the hulu app directly.

Not on the Disney+ page. No pausing bundles through them. Used to be able to pause bundles on Hulu account page. You may be able to sign up through Hulu and be able to pause, don't know.

Good luck

If you decide not to get Disney/Hulu, look at FoxOne. I have access to it free through Spectrum. I believe it includes Fox News and other programming.

You don't need a TV package with any of these streaming services.

A good alternative to Fox News would be MSNow available on Peacock (LOL)

I cancelled my prior subscription 2 days ago and was able to sign up for this offer with the same existing account.
Thanks. It's nice there is no waiting period now. I was surprised to find out if you log in first, the $14.99 ad-free option is not available. It's only available if you click it first while not logged in. Very weird.

I was debating this against $1 per month from T-Mobile for both with ads. We watch Hulu enough that after the Amex credit it's probably worth an extra $8 per month for no ads. Besides I wasn't convinced if the T-Mobile $1 offer was a permanent thing, a glitch they will eventually fix, or a short term promotion. I figured if I went that route, T-Mobile would soon take away getting D+ with ads for just $1 more and I'd miss the $14.99 ad-free promotion. I figure if I went the $14.99 ad-free route, they would grandfather in the $1 Hulu/D+ with ads for everyone else and I could never get it. Basically I figure whatever I choose will always be wrong, so I chose no ads which are extremely annoying. Every November we have to revisit our options, and there's always the option of not subscribing any more and then once per year when you have time subscribe to ad free at full price, binge everything, and then cancel. That's what I do with AppleTV since they went from $6 to $10.

They do … Disney gcs as well
I used a Hulu gift card (subscribed via Hulu's website, not Disney+). I used a $50 gift card; in the future charges section of the website, it is saying that in October 2026 I will have to pay the normal rate of $12.99 (less $0.10, the amount remaining from the $50 gift card). It seems like I lost the $8.00 discount for the last month (October 2026).
Perhaps this is just an error in the way it is displayed on the Hulu website. I'll worry about it next year.

My previous $2.99 bundle promo just ended and I got hit for $12.99 for Dec. Can I cancel it , then have the wife open her own account at $2.99? Or is it by address?
