They really should stop with the SAE sockets.

I got this last week when it was $56.
It's a good set for the low cost that's apparently made by Stanley. Though it is missing all the bigger sized deep sockets after 14mm. 1/2 drive regular sockets maxes out at 17mm, but 3/8 drive regular socket goes to 19mm. Not too bad for $50, if you don't mind adding a couple things you may need to the set.

Looks like a nice cheap set to keep in the truck or Jeep "just in case."

Seeing "Project Farm's" review on the hardness of these tools really show the quality of these. They test below "Tool Grade" tools, easily break, chip, and bend. I think harbor freight or Pittsburgh is a safer bet than this.I guess it might be up for the task of an occasional IKEA furniture, not much past that.

SAE still has its place outside automotive. But yeah, for a metric set to dedicate for vehicles to cut down on space/weight, it shouldn't be this hard to find in the USA in 2025. Milwaukee and Tekton make separate 1/4" 3/8" & 1/2" sets in metric only, almost never discounted to slick pricing. There are pro options with prices that almost no DIY'er would consider. Or import from Amazon UK, Germany etc. That's about all I remember finding a few years ago when I went down that rabbit hole, and a quick search of Amazon just now wasn't any different.

I'd be OK with a few of the common SAE sockets... but you don't need all the in-betweens. With a full set of metric you'll likely find something that fits close enough.

Nothing like rounding off the head of hex bolt to start your day!
