AirPods 4 with USB C charging case stand out for their lighter, open fit and surprisingly effective active noise cancellation for a non sealed design. The ANC version adds Conversation Awareness, live translation, and wireless charging, and it can feel more comfortable than AirPods Pro for those who dislike the plugged in fit. The main caveat is that ANC is reported to work only with iPhone, and the Pro 2 still wins on sound and noise cancelling. Deal stacking through Amex, PayPal, or Discover offers can also change the final price a lot.
Common Questions (3)
Yes. Walmart and Target have matched the price, and extra savings can come from offers like Amex $20 off $60, PayPal 20% off, or Discover cash back that can cut up to $30 more.
The ANC version adds noise cancelling, Conversation Awareness that lowers music when you speak, live language translation, and a better charging case with wireless charging. It can be worth about $30 more if you want those extras.
ANC reportedly only works with iPhone and won't work with Android. If you need noise cancelling on Android, the non-ANC AirPods 4 won't give you that feature.
