Good luck selling your digital version if you ever want to. Also have fun hauling your ps5 and a tv around for gaming on the go with that physical disc of hogwarts legacy.
Been cheaper (around 10$) then another 10 to upgrade to switch 2 version..and the deluxe version is like 12 all over steam ..etc
.not the best deal
Another trick I learned here is to just check the game out from your library and then buy the $10 switch2 upgrade. It's the full game and you don't need the original cartridge to play. So you can rerun the carry to your library the same day if you wanted.

I don't think that was the poster's point. I'm not into selling my collection, so that argument doesn't really work for people like me. The idea of buying a cart to fill the minimal space on my S2 seems ridiculous, which has led me to not purchase many S2 games during these BF sales.
Maybe they should offer the masses the option of the game key card or a physical cart, then see which one prevails. My $0.02.
In the meantime, I guess I'll haul around my PS Portal to play Hogwarts...

New to switch 2. Trying to understand what you're saying. You mean rent out the original physical game and then buy a switch 2 digital upgrade for the game? Does this mean you don't need the physical game cartridge anymore? Thank you

Correct.

It's the same price on Nintendo eShop, but if you already own the switch 1 version, the switch 2 version is only $10. You can actually get both versions for $19 total on Nintendo eShop. Buy the switch 1 version that's on sale for $9, then upgrade to switch 2 version for $10. $19 total for both.
