If you read the terms and conditions, you can only redeem this on a Hulu or ESPN account. The Disney/Hulu bundle is billed through Disney. It states you cannot redeem this if billed on Disney, making the AMEX card member discount of $7 ineffective for the additional $3 bucks (Disney bundle $5 plus what people wanted of HBO $3 totaling $8 bucks). I personally tried and no go.

I'd go stand alone because in 2026 Hulu itself goes bye bye and will be a tab in Disney+.

On the bright side, Amex blue cash card (no annual fee version) lifted the minimum spend for the $7 a month Hulu bundle credit, so adding all 3 makes it $7.98 (plus taxes) and you'd get $7 back each month. Prior deals didn't include HBO bundle and you needed a minimum spend so it made it more difficult to take advantage of the credit.

Doesn't look like it allows the HBO Hulu add-on to combine with the Disney/Hulu $5 deal.

If so, it just means we won't be able to use the Amex Blue Cash monthly statement credits for both D+/Hulu and HBO
