If you read the terms and conditions, you can only redeem this on a Hulu or ESPN account. The Disney/Hulu bundle is billed through Disney. It states you cannot redeem this if billed on Disney, making the AMEX card member discount of $7 ineffective for the additional $3 bucks (Disney bundle $5 plus what people wanted of HBO $3 totaling $8 bucks). I personally tried and no go.

I'd go stand alone because in 2026 Hulu itself goes bye bye and will be a tab in Disney+.

I see the below when looking at the terms. Works at DisneyPlus or Hulu (or ESPN for that matter).

I subscribed through HBO Max and they offered me the same subscription for $19.99 for the next 3 months starting on my renewal date in Dec. Not the greatest deal, but I hate how paid subscriptions with adds have become inundated with the quantity of adds. I'm also not happy that HBO MAX doesn't give you 4K, and Dolby Vision for this subscription price.
