Also available as a standalone deal, for those who don't have Hulu.

If you read the terms and conditions, you can only redeem this on a Hulu or ESPN account. The Disney/Hulu bundle is billed through Disney. It states you cannot redeem this if billed on Disney, making the AMEX card member discount of $7 ineffective for the additional $3 bucks (Disney bundle $5 plus what people wanted of HBO $3 totaling $8 bucks). I personally tried and no go.

I'd go stand alone because in 2026 Hulu itself goes bye bye and will be a tab in Disney+.

Community Reviews

This Hulu add on is mainly attractive for getting HBO Max with ads at a low monthly price, especially for people trying to stack it with Amex streaming credits. The strongest upside is the potential to keep Hulu billing in play while trimming out of pocket cost, and the Hulu app itself is preferred over HBO's app by some. The catch is that the promo is finicky, often requiring Hulu billing and a qualifying base plan, and it frequently jumps to $9.99 or fails to combine with the $5 Disney and Hulu bundle. Ads are heavy, and the plan does not include 4K.

Until HBO starts offering 4K access through these offerings, I'm gonna pass. I know they're trying to squeeze anyone who cares for the extra cost bc they only offer it through their most expensive subscription that's only available directly on their site.

You couldn't pay me to subscribe to Hulu with ads. The most annoying service in existence.

It's confusing to call this as a deal? I see we need to add Hulu for 12.99$ in order to get hbomax for another 2.99$ . Am I right ?
hbo standalone for $2.99

on the standalone HBO deal, this is in small print on the bottom: By signing up for this bundle, HBO Max will share your email address & subscription details with Disney+ and Hulu for eligibility, marketing, and other purposes. For more info about your choices, see the Privacy Center.

Where are you seeing boost for 4.17 a month? My app shows $13/mo
https://www.kroger.com/pr/boostThe 50% annual Boost for $50 per year or $4.17 a month shows up as a coupon you need to clip. Only available to new accounts or if your previous boost expired before 10/17 I think.Just create a new account and get Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN for 12 months AND the full Boost membership. Super great deal.

Boo. They won't let you add hbo to Hulu. Oh well. Guess on to the Amazon option.

Looks like the $2.99 deal is only for 1080p, not 4k. Fine for watching on a small screen but if you have a bigger TV, sadness.
