The game is a solid 8/10, but I wish they didnt call it Silent Hill.
In the back of my mind I keep comparing it to the previous silent hill series, and there are just too many differences in story telling and gameplay that let down my experience.
Most of these BF video game prices just suck. I usually buy the majority of my games around this time every year. Seeing $30 at the low-end and 1.5-year old games still sitting at $40. I guess $30 is the new $20.

To be fair, Silent Hill F is barely 2 months old. It's a great game IMO.
While I agree it's not as "dark" or "scary" as other Silent Hill games, the "haunted" Japanese aesthetic was stellar, and the overall themes and psychological aspect of the games fit perfectly in the Silent Hill universe.

I agree for this game at least. I don't care if the game came out 2 months ago. A $20 discount is just a normal discount by this point, not a Black Friday deal price. The problem is that the game came out at $70 and is not some all time great game to begin with, and within 3 more months there will no doubt be a better price than $50 for this...so why not just discount it to something like $35 now and make it feel like an actual Black Friday deal and get some real sales?
On top of that the new Resident Evil is coming out in three months and by that time I'm not going to have any interest in Silent Hill even at $40. So unless I see the game for ~$35 or less very soon, I'm just going to skip it completely or wait until it's $15-$20.
And I just bought Sonic Crossroads for $30 from Walmart and it also just came out and was a $70 game. Now that feels like a nice Black Friday price.

Agreed. I didn't think I'd be a fan of the melee only combat, but it kinda grew on me. Solid game overall.

Agreed. This was also a shorter game in my opinion. But for a game that just came out for 20 less is a decent deal
