A code in a box? Not even the digital key card? Hard pass. The digital key card exists now so no publisher should be doing this code in a box nonsense on the Switch 2. If you want a physical presence put a card in the box. Otherwise sell digitally on the eshop.

According to Google, yes you can play with someone on a second switch with free play pass the other person can download from the Nintendo store. As long as one person owns a copy. Supposedly you can even cross play on different gaming systems with a friend.

Edit: Google says no, it cannot play on switch lite since this title seems to be a switch 2 release.

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY. I really wanted to get this game for the wife but the foot goes down for the content delivery method. I could have stomached digital key card for $30, but code? That kicks resale value out the window. No thanks.
