I just ordered the Alta Pro, would this be a good addition to that? Everybody always talks about that skinny 64oz pitcher.
Failure rate is high on newer production 64 tall container. Buying direct from Vitamix for the same price assures getting a free replacement for 3 years or more. Good addition? Not for me. I bought the 32 oz from QVC. $70 currently with new member coupon and f/s/. I will swap the blade for the perfect wet container for frozen and for single serving smoothie.

I see the 32oz at QVC. Do you change out the blade from the 64oz that you are using, or did you buy a new blade? If a new blade, did you buy original Vitamix or aftermarket? I see the blades are pricy and seem to cost more if purchased separately.

I have never owned a tall legacy 64 oz container which uses the same 3" wet blade. The
4" blade from a low wide can't be used. The blade is only available new attached to a drive shaft-bearing-seal assembly. It must be precision machined and balanced because spinning at up to 37,000 rpm it can become deadly shrapnel. For safety reasons Vitamix informs that installation must only be performed by an authorized technician. I never use aftermarket blades or containers for this reason.
