It's a good price, but it has dipped as low as $233 earlier this month. Unsure if that will come back or not.

Would it make more sense to buy the regular with an enclosure kit? This is for kids, and the enclosure kits seem more of a diy thing.

This is the regular. Get the Pro if you want an enclosure and filtration. Or just pick up the $30 enclosure kit for the 5M, it's not a "kids" version, lol.

Great deal. I got it about a year ago for $180 (had to stack discounted gift cards to get it to that price). It's been a fantastic printer. I came from using Ender 3s. Way faster, more reliable, enclosure kit was easy to do. I know people rave about Bambu Labs printers, but this printer does everything I was for much cheaper.

Thank you for your feedback, and the reference to Bambu. I wanted a 3D printer as a beginner, will look into this further.

They don't spy on you. They had a poorly worded reply after the NY AG sent them, and other printer companies, a threatening letter. They followed up and made it clear they didn't spy on you.

I've been very happy with my 5M which I've had for about a year and a half.

The enclosure kit, camera and LEDs (plus 2kg of PETG) will run you ~$100 (you can buy Aliexpress LEDs/camera for less, but of unknown quality).
So, if you want an 5M that has most of the Pro features you are almost to the price of buying the Pro. So the Pro might be a better decision (because it is less effort, for almost the same price.
If you don't care about the camera, or LEDs you would spend $40-60 on the emclose kit and PETG.

I opted to buy the 5M and make the mods myself for the experience. I learned a lot in the process.
