Talk about inflation. This was the price back in 2018, now it's a deal.

Used this daily for 3+ years for drip coffee. Just this year got an espresso machine and use it a few times a week for espresso at the finest setting, it's ok. I would prefer something more consistent ($$$) but it works well with a pressurized filter basket (I don't have a non-pressurized one). Static is often a problem with the plastic container and can create a mess with fine coffee.

I had this machine and was able to tell a huge difference immediately. You may want to invest in a large burr grinder (64mm is a popular size to start). However, those machine (the one I got is made by Shardo) do cost a bit more (starting ~$150). For me, that is the point when things hit diminishing return as I can't really tell the difference between the $150 machine and a $400 DF64...

Espressonados say the grinder is more important than the espresso machine.

For what it's worth, I had this exact one for about a year. Used it only weekly and it died - the motor burned up.

Best to spend a little more and get something a lot better. Amazon has some nice choices on sale this week for Black Friday.

Well, I'm a real newbie when it comes to grinders, but after researching for a decent, beginner grinder, I took a deep breath and just received this one yesterday:

Just keep in mind I'm not an expert. I tested the finest setting and the beans came out like powder. 🤷

I must say I bought this one about 15 years ago. Still works. Different motor maybe.

Same here, bought mine at a thrift store 5 years ago and it still works fine.

Avoid! Mine sounded like a dentist's drill and the grind was mediocre at best. It's a shame, because the previous iteration of this grinder was great...lasted us 10 years plus. This one suuuuuuucks though!

Just FYI, Cuisinart has one of the worst warranties. They make you pay for shipping both ways.

A little pricier but the baratza encore or encore esp (only difference is the esp can do finer grinds for espresso and tends to be a hair more consistent) Bth considered the minimum/not trash by enthusiasts.

The Shardor 64mm burr looks good too but it's easier for it to get out of alignment for consistency and may require a little work to get the butts even out of the box.
