T3 lite is not better. T3 pro is better according to reviews. I've had this one for a year and it's awesome. They updated the app recently and the colors are even better now with the AI filter. For $70 it feels like a no brainer. My buddies were amazed by it. Wife loves it too.

Govee's Envisual T2 is a TV backlight that shines most for movies and shows, especially once the app is tuned. The recent app update and color and saturation adjustments can make the lighting look much better, and the effect can feel surprisingly immersive over time. The main drawback is calibration, since reds, greens, and whites can drift off and sometimes stay off even after resets or replacement. It is a strong ambient-light upgrade if you are willing to tweak settings.

  • The app can help adjust color settings for movies and TV shows.

    JustHere4TheZiplineJustHere4TheZipline

  • After calibrating color and saturation, the backlight can work great.

    chasehm

  • The backlight can still perform well when clearance is tight by placing LEDs farther from the TV edge.

    smith6ar

  • Long-term use can make the effect feel subconscious while watching.

    TurdFerguson2

  • Color accuracy can be problematic, with green appearing white even after recalibration.

    JesseH5623crizo

  • Color accuracy may require ongoing app and TV setting tweaks to get acceptable results.

    crizoJustHere4TheZipline

  • Even replacement hardware can show the same calibration issues like reds turning orange and whites turning blue.

  • Leaving the app or effect on all the time can be distracting during viewing.

I've had it for 3 months now. The app is helpful for adjusting color settings. It is a bit distracting to have on all the time but for movies and some TV shows it really is a gamechanger.
Is it only mostly with Action movies its great with or does it make all movies "better"?

Have you tried messing with the settings? I was able to get them adjusted decently in app.
Yes, tons of calibration and resetting, Reds were orange, whites were blue. They even sent me a new device l, same problem. Really cool tech I just don't know why they can't get the color perfect

This may be a dumb question but do these actually enhance the viewing experience? My friend has a similar product and when I went over to watch a movie at his house it seemed cool at first but I didn't really notice it at all once I got into the movie. Maybe it's a subconscious type of effect?

I have an older version, and if I could do it over again, I would just get a sub $10 multi-color LED light strip to backlight the rear of the TV. Or even at $70, put that towards upgrading your sound system or a used micro PC for retro gaming/streaming.

I've had mine for years and love it. It does become a bit subconscious after a while, but I think it would be distracting if it didn't. You really miss it when you watch on a TV that doesn't have it.

Bought it, surprisingly good.

After you calibrate color and saturation it works great.

What's the bonus here, are you augmenting old hdtvs's. Is this better for immersion? It looks cool but it's 25% the cost of the tv. Them some expensive rims for your civic
If $99 is 25% the value of your TV..... You need a better TV.
