The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is essentially a Dreame L40 Ultra clone (MOVA is a Dreame sub-brand). They both offer the full flagship dock experience with hot water mop washing, hot air drying, auto dustbin emptying, and the crucial corner-cleaning extendable side brush. The main difference is that the L40 Ultra can completely remove its mop pads for vacuum-only runs, while the MOVA P10 just lifts them (10.5mm) for carpet avoidance. If you have mostly hard floors or low/medium-pile carpet, the lift is perfectly fine. The $100+ savings for the MOVA makes it the clear winner unless you have very thick, high-pile carpet where the L40's full mop removal is a necessity.
Both are feature-packed vacuums, so go with whichever is cheaper at the moment. Right now, that's the Dreame using this promotion. This is an amazing price if you can get it. Just a month ago, both versions cost hundreds more than today.
Both companies (actually, both divisions - they're probably the same company, but they deny it if you ask) are known for their totally sucky customer service (and they might be the same people in the same office anyway). If you get lucky and don't get a unit with problems, you'll be happy with either one because they're great machines. If you do need help from Mova or Dreame support, prepare for frustration, unknowledgeable agents, conflicting responses, and long delays before eventually getting what you need. Both have had quality issues (mostly stuck laser sensors and cracked wheels) and are running around 10% 1-star ratings on Amazon at the moment, although Mova has been doing slightly better in the ratings recently (possibly due to their totally illegal $89 coupon offer to anyone who posts a 5-star review and sends a screenshot).

The Dreame L40 Ultra is a feature packed robot vacuum and mop that stands out for strong floor cleaning, smart navigation, and a full service dock with auto emptying and mop handling. The extendable side brush and mop removal for vacuum only runs are major draws, and the app adds flexible controls like custom suction levels and multi story mapping. The main caveats are weaker carpet performance than hard floors, occasional software oddities, and promo codes that can be finicky or conflict with free add ons. At around $360 to under $400, it lands as a compelling value for mostly hard floor homes.
Common Questions (5)
The X40/GoVac 508 is generally positioned as the higher-tier option, with Costco versions adding extras and a stronger return policy. The L40 Ultra is still considered a strong value at this price, but the X40 line is described as having more premium hardware and, in some comparisons, better cleaning features.
Yes, the promo code can still apply even when checkout first shows an error. The deal has been reported at $360 or $359.99 after the code, and some shoppers also saw the discount appear only after proceeding to purchase.
Yes, the L40 Ultra can fully remove its mop pads for vacuum-only runs and reload them later from the dock. That is a key difference versus the AE and some cheaper alternatives, which only lift the pads instead of leaving them at the base.
It works well on hard floors, but carpet performance is reported as weaker, especially on thicker carpet or rugs that need strong suction control. One setup with a thin rug still did not vacuum properly, while another user said it was fine for floors but not carpets.
Yes, it can reportedly be declouded and run locally with Valetudo, with Home Assistant and MQTT integration possible. The tradeoff is that installation is hardware- and software-heavy, requiring board work and soldering.

This isn't theoretical, it's exactly what happened when vacuum manufacturer Neato went out of business in 2023. Their parent promised to support the app for 5 years, but they stopped after only 2 years, in 2025. Neato owners can't do anything other than a manual whole-house task, and there's no recourse. And they were owned by a respected German industrial company. Now Roomba/iRobot is teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, too.
With so many Chinese brands on the market competing ferociously for market share right now with these ridiculously low prices, many won't survive even a year from now. Not only will the 3-year warranties be meaningless, but the robots themselves will be mostly useless too. So don't spend a fortune on one of these until it's clear who the surviving companies will be.
Consider your $360 for the Dreame to be a sunk cost and enjoy it while it lasts.

Costco basically took the X40 hardware and paired it with a slightly upgraded dock and a nicer accessory pack so they could justify carrying it as a separate SKU. That AceClean line in the listing isn't a typo. Costco models often get quiet mid-cycle upgrades because Dreame can swap parts as long as the "508" name stays the same. It's still an X40 brain, but the washboard is closer to the newer style and that fixes most of the early X40 complaints.
So teh goVac is BETTER then this model...by one small level.
It seem that Dreame has increased the price of their refurbished x40 ultra's so they can clear out these L40.
I think the big difference is higher temperature when cleaning, and one additional sensor to avoid obstacles.

the Dreame X50 Ultra has higher mop pressure and a more advanced system for mopping and self-cleaning compared to the X40 Ultra.
The Dreame X50 Ultra features an upgraded mop system designed to clean more effectively and efficiently
But... I would never spend the money that they want on the X50... cheapest price in the past I have seen "multiple times" for a refurbished X40 is $420 after a 20% off ebay deal. I was hoping it would go to $350 for this week... I am wrong, the price JUMPED a few hundred and they are liquidating this model which is almost as good as the X40.
