This 77 inch Samsung S90F is being framed as a strong mid tier OLED with excellent design and a clear step up if the S95F is out of budget. The price looks decent against a roughly $2,000 new retail reference, and the same price has reportedly appeared on Woot for not new units. The main concern is that eBay open box OLEDs can be risky, especially for banding or other hidden issues, and Samsung reliability and warranty value are both questioned. It reads as a solid value if the open box condition and coverage are acceptable.

Common Questions (4)

  • It is around the same price as not-new units elsewhere, with the new TV listed at about $2,000 and Woot reportedly offering not-new units for the same price. That makes $1,474 an OK deal rather than a standout one.

  • The S90F is described as closer to a C5, and also as the equivalent of a B3 or C3. It is positioned as the next-best option after the S95F, so it can still be a strong upgrade if you do not want to pay for the higher model.

  • The included Allstate warranty is described as usually not very valuable, though another comment says Allstate claims are easy and the warranty has worked well in practice. If warranty length matters most, Costco, Samsung, or Best Buy are preferred for longer coverage.

  • Open-box OLEDs on eBay can be risky because units may be returned for banding issues, and the open-box condition may be effectively used. That matters most for OLED panels, where uniformity problems are a common reason for returns.

Equivalent to C5 (2025). OK deal, but ebay open box might as well be used. All state warranty is usually worthless. Better to see if you get Best Buy to price match
allstate warranty is great. used it twice. easy pretty easy to make claims.

Talk to these people open box according to there mfgs stuff on phones is 80 percent battery life meaning extremely used phones, is probably the same for tvs, so it's a crap shoot if someone opened the box quick tried it and returned it or it spent 6 months 24 hrs a day looping and may have 20 percent burn in or something stupid per the mfg that the mfg calls open box, should be illegal but no one has sued them yet

Dude I'm in the SAME situation. I want something 75 minimum up to 85. And I want a quality panel that's under $2k. Looking for bang for my dollar.
