This 77 inch Samsung S90F is being framed as a strong mid tier OLED with excellent design and a clear step up if the S95F is out of budget. The price looks decent against a roughly $2,000 new retail reference, and the same price has reportedly appeared on Woot for not new units. The main concern is that eBay open box OLEDs can be risky, especially for banding or other hidden issues, and Samsung reliability and warranty value are both questioned. It reads as a solid value if the open box condition and coverage are acceptable.
The S90F can serve as a strong alternative to the S95F when budget limits higher-tier models.
The open-box listing price can still look attractive even though the eBay condition feels risky.
The TV's design is described as gorgeous, which can matter for a living-room setup.
The retail reference point for a new 77-inch S90F is about $2k, which supports evaluating the open-box discount.
The eBay open-box condition can function like a used purchase, which weakens the value of the deal.
OLED open-box purchases on eBay carry a banding return risk that can affect long-term satisfaction.
Samsung power supply issues are raised as a concern, which can increase worry about reliability.
Allstate warranty coverage is described as usually not very valuable, so warranty protection may be limited.
