This Acer Predator Orion refurb looks like a strong-value gaming desktop, pairing an RTX 3070 with an i7 and 16GB of memory for smooth play and solid everyday responsiveness. The package has also arrived in excellent shape for some, sometimes with a Predator keyboard and mouse included, and Acer factory refurbs have a reputation here for landing in near new condition. The main cautions are refurb variability, with reports of dusty fans, cosmetic damage, poor packing, and occasional transit damage or support hassles. A capable gaming tower if you are comfortable with refurb risk.

Common Questions (5)

  • Many units arrive in pristine or brand-new-looking condition with little or no visible dust, but some refurbs show scratches, bent metal, dusty fans, or other prior-use wear. Treat it as a used machine with a warranty rather than a guaranteed like-new desktop.

    BabyBubbaTeaser38jjj444yesjjj444yes

  • The main risks are shipping damage, cosmetic wear, and occasional hardware or support issues such as overheating, dead RGB, or poor packaging. The upside is a low price and a two-year warranty, and Acer has approved full refunds when units arrived damaged.

    FairNarwhal227Mandingo702Phylumjanusman

  • It can include a Predator-branded gaming keyboard and mouse, and some units arrive with a mouse only. The bundle appears to vary by shipment, so check the listing and be prepared for either accessory set.

    SmithersonFranklinfishrustymccheese

  • F-series processors are not affected by the issue being discussed, and one owner kept the system updated with the latest BIOS without problems. That makes the CPU side less of a concern for this deal.

    veyveybsheff

  • The model number matches Acer's site and should be DDR5, but the eBay listing does not explicitly state the memory type. If DDR5 matters for your setup, verify the exact configuration before buying.

I have not heard of any foxes nesting in these CPU's. The F processors are "less likely" to be affected. Is this DDR4 or DDR5?

Amazing value on this gaming pc, 3070 is better than a 5060. And the CPU i7-13700F is also solid.

Comparing the model number to acers website it should be ddr5. eBay listing doesn't seem to mention it.

Solid deal on a respectable gaming PC. I've bought 2 refurb desktops from Acer and they both arrived in brand new condition. I highly recommend Acer factory refurbs.

But if yours is affected, then what? Why would you risk it?

My last Acer refurb had 9 months of hard use; dusty fans with the SSD having 200TB of use. Best to think of this as used... Still a deal.
