I own an earlier version of this monitor with the gsync hardware.

While the monitor is fine the screen has started delaminating. Meaning, when it's off it looks like parts of the glass are almost shaved off. I reached out to dell support as it's still under warranty. They asked our pictures even after I explained the issue. They said it was "physical damage" not covered by warranty.

I explained they are wrong. The monitor has no damage an has not moved since it was put in the desk. They closed the ticket.

While it's a good monitor, I will never buy another one from them due to this experience.

The AW3423DWF is a 34 inch curved QD OLED ultrawide that stands out for gaming and immersive HDR, with wide widescreen content and no black bars on native format movies. The 34 inch ultrawide layout also makes side by side windows feel natural for productivity, and the panel is praised for looking especially good when clean. Main drawbacks are OLED upkeep and a few quality concerns, including frequent streaks, periodic pixel cleaning, occasional coil whine, and reports of delamination or warranty friction. A strong fit if you want the ultrawide OLED experience and can live with the maintenance.

  • The 34-inch ultrawide layout can fit two windows side by side without horizontal scrolling.

    PocketsThick

  • The OLED HDR experience can look strong in HDR footage, including widescreen content without black bars.

    glogloglo

  • The monitor can feel manageable in size, with a 27-inch-like vertical footprint plus extra width.

    DirkBelig

  • The unit can support advertised refresh rates without needing HDMI 2.1 on this model.

    lord_Vader

  • The screen can get dirty quickly and develop streaks that persist despite wiping and cleaner use.

    CnC_Citizen

  • The OLED panel can require periodic pixel screen cleaning to keep performance acceptable.

    lord_Vader

  • Warranty coverage can be denied for delamination when Dell support classifies it as physical damage.

    mrblonde

  • Delivery can arrive with broken security tape and a box side sticking out, which raises condition concerns.

I've had this in my cart with healthcare discount for a few days. Having trouble pulling the trigger. Would also get 20% back from PayPal and I think 12% from cash back site (?).

Anybody have any ideas on something to use my $75 of dell points on before they expire? I moved them from rewards to dell cash or w/e it's called, but it still expires soon.

I bought this a couple of years ago. Overall I like it a lot, I will say the screen is very prone to getting dirty and streaks are common no matter how much you wipe it or what cleaner you use. But when it's not it's not very noticeable

If you have already used the Paypal offer for another purchase, you are not eligible anymore. Please keep that in mind.
