I own an earlier version of this monitor with the gsync hardware.
While the monitor is fine the screen has started delaminating. Meaning, when it's off it looks like parts of the glass are almost shaved off. I reached out to dell support as it's still under warranty. They asked our pictures even after I explained the issue. They said it was "physical damage" not covered by warranty.
I explained they are wrong. The monitor has no damage an has not moved since it was put in the desk. They closed the ticket.
While it's a good monitor, I will never buy another one from them due to this experience.
The AW3423DWF is a 34 inch curved QD OLED ultrawide that stands out for gaming and immersive HDR, with wide widescreen content and no black bars on native format movies. The 34 inch ultrawide layout also makes side by side windows feel natural for productivity, and the panel is praised for looking especially good when clean. Main drawbacks are OLED upkeep and a few quality concerns, including frequent streaks, periodic pixel cleaning, occasional coil whine, and reports of delamination or warranty friction. A strong fit if you want the ultrawide OLED experience and can live with the maintenance.
34" ultrawide gamers who want side-by-side windows without horizontal scrolling because the 34" ultrawide lets two windows snap natively side by side, while a 32" monitor forces horizontal scrolling.
people who mainly play high-refresh games because commenters say you're paying for the high refresh rates and that buyers who don't need them may be overpaying for other tasks.
owners who are willing to do periodic OLED maintenance because one long-term owner says you have to run the OLED pixel screen cleaning periodically, but they've had zero other issues.
buyers who care about HDR presentation for movies and HDR content because an owner reports strong HDR OLED viewing with widescreen content showing no black bars (they cite concert footage and movies like Pineapple Express).
people planning to stack Dell coupons with cashback sites because multiple commenters report that cashback doesn't stack with the 10% Dell coupon and can get denied.
people who hate cleaning artifacts because one owner says the screen is prone to getting dirty and streaks are common no matter how much you wipe it or what cleaner you use.
buyers who want worry-free warranty coverage for screen issues because one commenter reports delamination on an earlier AW3423DWF and says Dell support denied warranty coverage as "physical damage" even though they claim the monitor hadn't moved.
The screen can pick up dirt and streaks easily, periodic OLED pixel cleaning is required, and some units have reported coil whine or delamination. The ports are also older-spec on this model, with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4.
Yes. A 34-inch ultrawide is made to fit two windows side by side without horizontal scrolling, which is a big productivity upgrade over a 32-inch 1440p display. It still keeps the gaming-focused ultrawide format.
No. The 10% new customer coupon does not stack with the student or education discount, and the same 10% offer also does not combine with the education discount. It's one or the other, so the final discount stays around 10% rather than compounding.
Yes, the 10% Dell coupon can void cashback from 12-15% cashback sites, and denied cashback was reported after checkout. If you want cashback, the safer route is to avoid coupon stacking on the same order.
Yes, if your enrolled AMEX offer is the one-time $100 statement credit after spending at least $500 online at dell.com by 1/31/2026. The order must stay at or above $500 after discounts to qualify.
I have LG playing the same "physical damage" game with me on a brand new G5 TV that died after 2 weeks and 2 days. So I checked the actual warranty and for my TV it clearly states something like "Damage or failure of the Product resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation/repair/maintenance". I suspect your warranty has something similar. You may want to try that. These companies use "physical damage" as a magic word, but the warranty is pretty clear that there is a need for a legitimate suspicion that you messed with it. I wish I could tell I had a happy ending with them, but LG just kept quoting me imaginary warranty terms that they pulled out of their a#!$, so I went the credit card road and was granted a chargeback after the dispute was ruled in my favor for defective product (you may want to try that also). Of course LG being as#!^^, they are now trying to collect the money from me.
I came to recommend he do the same. Samsung monitors are notorious for their buttons breaking. They tried to say I used too much force. Mind you.. This monitor was a month old and I have a 6yo monitor right next to it with no issues. Anyway, they lost the dispute and haven't heard from them since. Free monitor for me.
It's not limited to 1 transaction. I've done 6 over the past several days. All of them netted 20% back. Have gotten back about $150 across those purchases so far.
-edit-
My bad, I see now where they changed the offer to only 1 transaction. The wording before was that it open to all purchases up to a certain max $ amount. I do have points attached to all 6 of my orders so I guess they changed the terms after those.
Only $150? That's light weight. I got $610 from em.

The 34-inch ultrawide layout can fit two windows side by side without horizontal scrolling.
The OLED HDR experience can look strong in HDR footage, including widescreen content without black bars.
The monitor can feel manageable in size, with a 27-inch-like vertical footprint plus extra width.
The unit can support advertised refresh rates without needing HDMI 2.1 on this model.
The screen can get dirty quickly and develop streaks that persist despite wiping and cleaner use.
The OLED panel can require periodic pixel screen cleaning to keep performance acceptable.
Warranty coverage can be denied for delamination when Dell support classifies it as physical damage.
Delivery can arrive with broken security tape and a box side sticking out, which raises condition concerns.
