I'm not 100%, but I think the Plus puts it somewhere in between.

The Inspiron line is now called PLUS....

From all the research I've done looking for a latest tech sub $800, this one's pretty good, esp since it has 32gb lpddr5x & ICU 256V. Many focus on Screen Quality & Graphics GPU.

I'm looking for ICU 7 155h, 255h, or 265h (since ICU 9 185h/285h uses 45W), 32GB LPDDR5x (ddr5) pref 8533mhz, FHD+ or better, 15.6" or bigger, Dual Type C ports, 60+WHr battery, Wifi7, FHD IR cam, and touchscreen if possible...

It's actually the 258V.

Would been nice if it was at least 400 nits though. 300 nits is like bare minimum.

Will still probably prefer over an extremely reflective OLED display though that guilts me into using dark mode constantly.

It's the Inspiration 7000 series which used to be the highest end Inspiration. There is another series called Inspiron 14 or 16, without the plus, representing the Inspiron 5000 series

Thanks to the OP. I needed a new Dell so I could pass my Inspiron 14 to my daughter. Good specs for me as it's mostly for work and casual use. I didn't do much research and ordered the exact same model on Amazon for $898, cancelled. OP saved me $178!

Are the graphics cards any good on this I don't know how this compares to the nvidia's at this price point there are several other laptops that are offering the dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics cards.

The two big questions would be gaming as well as local AI models.

And from a build quality/hinges

258V laptops tend to run $999 on the holiday deals.

This is the same chip in the MSI Claw 8AI+. It can do some decent gaming at low to medium settings but it is by no means a powerhouse. The benefit of this chip is its efficiency, where some report close to 15 hours on Battery.
