This Cuisinart air fryer toaster oven stands out for simple manual controls, strong cooking performance, and long-term reliability. It handles everyday jobs well, from air frying fries and reheating pizza to nachos, taco shells, soups, and quick defrosting, and the grill and toaster oven functions add versatility. The analog dials and real buttons are a big draw for avoiding the button and display failures seen on other ovens. Main cautions are that it runs hotter than the dial setting, the door opens downward, and the knobs can get sticky over time. A solid, no-frills countertop cooker if you want durability over touch controls.

  • home cooks who want simple, manual dial controls because commenters say it's "simple and works great," with "no sticky knobs" on their unit and they prefer the manual dial over digital controls on a heated appliance.

  • shoppers who can confirm their kitchen circuit setup because commenters warn it's a high-wattage unit and recommend a dedicated/discreet 20A circuit for safe use, which makes it a better fit for homes that have that available.

  • people using it as a quick alternative to a microwave because one commenter said they "threw my microwave out," using the oven daily for reheating and defrosting in about 10-15 minutes for many items.

  • families making regular-sized frozen pizza and reheating snacks because a commenter specifically asked about frozen pizza fit and another said they slide a Costco Kirkland pizza into the toast rack and run it at 350°F for 15 minutes.

  • buyers who care about long-term reliability and easy maintenance because multiple commenters report years of dependable use (including replacing an element after ~21-22 years) and even buying another after moving.

  • people who want to avoid digital button/display failure points because commenters say they've had digital toaster/air fryer units with button and display failures, and they find the dial-based Cuisinart "refreshing."

  • people who only have a 15A kitchen circuit available (especially if other appliances may be running) because commenters warn an 1800W toaster oven can trip breakers or risk overheating, and they say it "REQUIRES a 20A (discreet) circuit."

  • people who are sensitive to dial/timer stickiness because one commenter says their older model's timer knob becomes "occasionally sticky" after 2-3 years, and another rejects the product as a "non-starter" due to sticky dials.

  • buyers who strongly prefer electronic controls because at least one commenter says they're "not a fan of the electronic on a heated appliance" and that it "tends to cause problems," and another notes they wouldn't have bought it if their unit wasn't already working/broken.

  • buyers who need a door that won't catch food when opening because one commenter specifically dislikes that the downward-opening door "will catch a lot of food stuff."

  • shoppers comparing against similar cheap 6-slice air-fryer toaster ovens who want a clear advantage over alternatives because one commenter questions what would make this better than a $57 Gourmia that appears similar (6-slice/450°F style), implying the value case may be unclear.

Does anyone have this toaster oven/like it? I've been eyeing it so the price cut looks good
ive had one for years. threw my microwave out after i got this. they last a long time. great for reheating, making nachos, reheats pizza better than a microwave. cooking taco shells, heating up soups. air fried chicken breast tasted like it was cooked on a grill. will never use a microwave again.

We inherited this one and like it much better than the $500 digital Breville we also have but have put away. Simple and works great.
replaced our $350 breville (the smaller one) with this and it has been great. no frills, analog spring timer, real buttons and knobs. cooks well.

Maybe dumb question but this one or the 24L Gourmia French Door 6-Slice Digital Toaster Oven Air Fryer w/ Probe Control for $57 at walmart?

They both seem like 6slice 450f oven-air fryers to me, but the gourmia one has french doors and other settings, so I'm not sure why this one would be better.

It looks ok, but I found this one that looks a lot better for my preferences. I ordered it with an additional 20% PayPal rewards. So I like better for less money, to boot.

It has a probe and french doors. And no dials - I hate those. More cumbersome to use, harder to clean. Give me all digital and buttons. Smilie

I have this one and love it. I air fry French fries from Costco until they're so crispy they are almost burnt and they are delicious. Get a Costco Kirkland pizza, cheese or supreme, unwrap, slide right into the toast rack, set to 350 and 15 minutes and it's *chefs kiss*. Have not used the grill/griddle accessory yet.

Just bought this from Macy's, arriving today. Even with link through 10% off and PayPal pay in 4 another 20% off I paid $11 more. Not worth the drive to return it for $11. Nice deal.

The Cuisinart is highly rated by review sites. Coming from a digital Toaster / Air Fryer which sure enough had button and display failures going back to old school dials of the Cuisinart is refreshing. Not to mention a friendly foot print.

You are probably on the wrong thread if you are looking for affirmation of your so called superior choice, Good luck come year two with that 100% digital touch pad. SMH.

120 V × 15 A = 1800 W is middle-school math. The part you skipped is electrical code and real-world usage: continuous or high-duty loads are generally limited to about 80% of circuit rating, so that "1800 W" toaster oven is already pushing what a 15 A branch circuit should handle continuously. If anyone needs a refresher, it's on how electricity is actually used in homes, not how to multiply two numbers
Why do you think 99% of houses don't have 20 circuits in the kitchen. The NEC has required 20A circuit for kitchen counter tops for a very long time.

Aso, the 80% rule is generally for continuous loads, which is defined as a load that is continuous for more then 3 hours. This isn't likely drawing 1800W continuous as it's temperature controlled, and isn't likely to be ran for over 3 hours.

We've had one for almost 10 years. It's been a very solid machine and we like it alot. It's very strong and versatile. Ours has finally started to develop sticky knobs although we might be able to take them off and clean them.
One con was we had pressed it against the wall before finding out the heat from the unit almost melted the wire completely. The unit does have spacers in the back to make sure there's some space but because our outlet caused the wire to cross the vent (instead of going along the bottom) it melted pretty bad. It has still worked for years afterwards.
^ The above also would not be a reason i would not buy it again. it's been very reliable.
