This ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 stands out as an unusually strong value for its Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370, 64GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD, especially at the $689 price. The compact chassis feels much smaller and lighter than expected, and the spec sheet looks right for the serial number and warranty lookup. The main drawbacks are the 60Hz display, no touch screen, and a battery described as weak. The price later jumped sharply, which makes the original offer feel like a rare mistake, a compelling pick if the screen and battery tradeoffs are acceptable.

Common Questions (4)

  • The $689 price was widely treated as a pricing mistake because similar or weaker configurations in the same product line cost more, and the listing later rose to $979 even with the perksoffer discount. That makes the original deal look unusually aggressive for the specs.

    robert1307nicksniper94Sam K

  • The invoice warranty lookup matches the expected specs for the serial number, which points to a normal new-unit shipment rather than a mismatched refurb. The assembled date reported on arrival was September 2025 in Vietnam.

    slammdunkkrobert1307

  • It does not have a touch screen and the panel is 60Hz. The display is the main compromise on this configuration, while the rest of the specs are strong.

    ady55Hat-Trick

  • The battery is described as weak despite the strong CPU, 64GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. That makes it better suited to plugged-in use than all-day unplugged work.

I got one luckily, but am really worried that they would not actually ship and just cancel my order. that would be really annoying.

Did anyone actually get this deal or was it a price error?
I was able to checkout and got a confirmation email. We'll see if it ships, though

At this price, the spec is too good to be true, came too late to grab one.

Nice specs, weak battery. Ordering from Lenovo is a miserable experience, watching to see how many actually get shipped versus cancelled.

My unit also shipped, at least according to the web site since there is no email yet. The only question is WHAT dd they actually ship? There is still a possibility that the description was wrong and they shipped some low spec config.

Looks like it was quite the price mistake.
It's going to be rereleased at $979 - they have updated the price in the last hour.

This is a long shot, but anyone have a screenshot of when it was at the deal price($709) whilst in their cart?
