The P16S AMD variant only uses 1 pipe for cooling. Rest everything looks decent.
Which one would you all recommend for personal project-work\school-work, portability\battery life (important, but not the top priority if performance is strong), and to tune/train AI models:
Apple MBP M5 32GB + 1TB or ThinkPad P16S AMD HX370 (890M) 96GB RAM + 2TB ?

MBP M5 24GB 512GB (@$1550), M5 is faster than the fastest and/Intel desktop processor, almost 2.5X TOPS(AI), better built, and better battery life. 24gig is enough unless running VMs.
It feels like AMD/INTEL oems just got too greedy with their pricing vs Apple.

How does the Ryzen AI9HX compare to an i9 a few gens old?
HX370 is very powerful for the amount of energy it consumes compared to Intel.
