I got this deal last year. It was a waste of time. The guy was constantly trying to upsell me on their monthly plan. I would not recommend it.

People out here thinking HVAC techs really go out on $9 tune-up calls like it's a money maker or good for business. Even worse, it's through Home Depot who will contract with the bottom of the barrel.
Don't waste your time, money and potential future headaches.

This is basically them upselling you with new furnace or other things. Honestly not worth it.

Just ordered we shall find out! Only have a heat pump, but for $8.00 it's worth it just for them to have to spray and clean the coils lol

my hvac unit is in the attic, do they just tune up the outside unit or go into your house?
Mine is in the basement and they have always come in to disassemble, clean, and test. My friend's was in her attic and she said they went up and did the same for her.

I have actually purchased this for myself and also for family members and neighbors and I have never had problems in the past.

They just called me and scheduled for today. Weird that it has an opening today on Thanksgiving. I am in San Jose, CA. $8.88 for hvac and $8.88 for heater. Will see if it is a waste of money.
Report back we all curious.

Should we even need it for a new construction house bought this year?

Might count as two based on the terminology I have seen. Home depot has typically sold them as separate services in the past (with sales at different times).

Just an assumption on my part, though, so take it with a grain of salt.

I was contacted to schedule an appointment, but I was informed that the tune-up service costs $99. I explained that I submitted the request through Home Depot at the Black Friday sale price of $8.88 and wanted to confirm the price before scheduling. They reiterated that their current pricing is $99 and that there may have been some confusion about the different promo price. I told them I would pass since it wasn't the promotional price. It felt like a bait and switch.

not unless someone quoted you to remind. or you will never come back here along with the other 267 opened tabs.

have you tried the "save" button. their setup is not only horrible on the search engine but no bookmark feature or anything else. their save button got no acknowledgement. most of the time i didnt know if its even working
If you click "save", I believe that it goes to your "Favorites" list. You can then see it under your Profile -> Saved Items. This is on desktop anyways

Personally, probably not. Unless you drew the hvac short straw and have a system that is failing quickly.

I might wait a few years. The only likely benefit would be from them vacuuming things out a bit (which you could do yourself).

Went ahead and requested service. Been thinking to do this, and $9 was a no brainer
