Key Details on the Deprecation
- Target: This method was specifically for "activating" Windows 10/11 and Windows Server until the year 2038. It was not the primary method used for Microsoft Office activation.
- The Change: Microsoft fully deprecated the clip-based KMS license migration functionality that the KMS38 method relied on.
- Affects All Versions? No. It affects newer versions of Windows that have received the critical update.
KMS38 stopped working beginning with Windows build 26100.7019 (released around November 2025).
It is now removed from the latest versions of the Massgrave script.
- Current Alternatives: The Massgrave developer advises users to switch to the HWID (Hardware ID) or TSforge activation methods, which are reported to still function.

This bundle is mainly appealing as a cheap way to get Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024, and the checkout coupon has repeatedly brought the total down to $10.99 when applied correctly. Office activation has worked for some installs, including after a Microsoft 365 subscription expired, and the bundle can be used separately for Office or Windows. The main concern is reliability, since the same keys have been received across multiple orders and Windows activation has failed for many, with some Office installs also showing LTSC or service errors. It looks like a low cost option only if you are comfortable with the activation risk.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. Applying BFDEAL at checkout changes the total to $10.99, and the coupon box may require clicking the check mark or re-entering the code in all caps before the price updates.
Not always. Some buyers report the Windows 11 Pro key fails with errors like 0xc004f050 or 0x80041023, while others say it works or activates later after retrying.
Multiple orders have reportedly returned the same keys, and ordering more than one copy can result in duplicates. That makes this bundle risky if you need unique licenses for different machines.
They are separate product codes, so activating one does not automatically activate the other. The Office key can be used on its own, and the Windows key can be saved for another PC if you do not need it right away.
Yes. The Office portion installs Microsoft Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024, which is a perpetual volume-license edition with about five years of support. It is not intended for personal use and may not include all consumer features or Microsoft account sign-in.

UPDATE: I took the leap and purchased a copy, my license key matched what was provided above. You can't register the license with your M$ account to access the download file directly from Microsoft. I'm looking for alternative ways to download a trusted copy of the installer files.
