From what I understand, the extra memory is beneficial for higher resolution gaming (above 1920x1080) and would also benefit video editing and the like, I would think. For non-gaming, I doubt there's any benefit.

Local LLMs/AI Models. AMD has improved their support and drivers for AI/LLMs which makes these viable for use vs Nvidia cards, especially at a lower price point.

There can always be edge cases, but even basic Intel integrated graphics can put contents on a screen for all kinds of high resolution monitors. Gaming cards are for gaming (and LLM, as another poster said - things they can accelerate). 2D graphics are "meh' - built in graphics can easily do all of that stuff.
