How reliable is this compared to Anker? Like are these basically the same just paying extra for the name brand kind of thing or does anker truly live up to standards and safety

I read this in the voice of that author that makes reels about pop culture.
I have one similar to this and it is quite literally the worst charger I have ever used. The tolerances on the prongs and the weight of the unit mean it falls out constantly even in TR outlets. None of my Anker's have this issue
The cheap Chinese junk is well known for over promising gigaWatts of power for chargers and lights. The technology they use defies the laws of physics. Since no one checks their claims, nor is there any repercussions for boldly lying, it's just one claiming theirs is more powerful than yours.
Two things I don't understand about these power brick deals:
1) Why people would buy cheap no-name junk to power their $1,000+ electronics2) Why anybody would want to travel with a 4-port unit like this that's bigger and heavier than 4 small chargers. Plus, if your laptop is plugged into a single-port GaN charger, you can charge your phones and watches from the ports that are in that laptop.

1. Kid lost school assigned chrome book charger.
2. Company laptop only charges at 100w from USB and this charger is still less than 1/4 the size of the 240w factory charger. 100w is still sufficient 90% of the time.
3. Technology is pretty proven...and "name brand" like Anker sell image and marketing while still have its share of issues.
