Premium eco fares much higher than last year. From NYC, they used to be around $1300, now $1500.

i agree with zipair but because it's cyber week through travel tuesday, i'd compare the airfares between the two airlines....factoring in checked-bags, seats, etc...

Discount is a lie. I was looking at premium economy tickets round trip Newark to Singapore, 2 weeks ago were $1375.
I purchased them on Thanksgiving for $1500 and that was the cheapest day of the week to travel, i had to cut 3 days off my planned trip, otherwise would have been $1700

That's a given if you done your homework. What do you expect for that budget airline, HJ and foot rub? If you want good food then pay 60% + some other airlines Or just pick some good food from the airport and be done with.
