This thing is crazy loud and pulls hair if u've longer beard cuz u don't shave every day… it may not be an issue for those who shave every day… i'm going back to Philips Norelco.

I use to love my Norelco. Recently needed some replacement blades and they weren't same. Tried 2 different packs.

Now I'm using this with a trimmer if it's been a few days.

I agree with the loud, unfortunately. I went back to Norelco b/c of the Arch 5 loudness.

Does the hair fall out when shaving the side of your face?

That's the issue I have with my Braun S9 and it's annoying as I don't always shave over the sink.

It does. So I'm always over the sink or in the shower. Did you find an alternative with that feature.

Assuming you meant "without that feature".

I have not.
The Norelco didn't do it, but it's been years since I used it.
I disliked the switch they pulled on my last model (8900x I think) where the shaving head was redesigned and became louder and didn't shave as close, so avoided them since then.

Any input on using this to shave head? Recently started shaving my head and Mach 3\Fusion 5 I tend to take a little skin off on a few bumps on my head. I'm guessing with the longer hair comments this may be a no? Any recommendations would be good.

Is a new Arc5 better than an Arc5 from a couple years ago? They keep using the same names...

No, it stays inside the foil until the foil is opened. If you use the side trimmer that pops out from back then yes, it falls out.

https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-...iewsAnchorCan't confirm the quality. I got razor for less than 115. It seems criminal to charge so much for blades.
Razor works great, had mine for over two years now. Replacement blades, like you said, are much too expensive.

Bought this for $140 Frown a couple months ago and my every-other-day shaves with Afta pre-shave are pretty close to as smooth as I used to get with a Harry's razor and gel in the shower.

While I wish that I could have scored any of the cheaper prices that y'all mentioned, I'm happy I got mine when I did and hope it'll last a long while before I get the itch to see what other marketing these folks can tempt me with Wink

Amazing electric shaver. I don't think you could do better for the price (maybe the Manscaped Chairman Pro for $99 on Costco's website, but I have more experience with Panasonic's electric shavers). You can get a close shave with this and I'm able to go 5 days and shave my stubble down to skin with this. The Braun Series 9 Pro+ does a better job when it comes to a smoother and closer shave, but this comes extremely close at 1/3rd of the price. Just be aware that replacement cartridges/foil/blades are a little pricier than other electric shavers, but those do go on sale multiple times a year.

And Tesla was $220 in April. So putting that $80 into fractal TSLA shares would give you $160 now. So you could have bought this at $120 now and made $40.
