X5 is significantly better in low light and under water. Also 2D action cameras are much sharper if you can frame the action ahead of time. Make sure you know what you need.

Edit 1: Was able to stack multiple coupons for other accessories

You mean 3D Action Camera. This is actually 4D because it records for a length of time - time is the 4th dimension. .

I wish I had this deal when I paid the full $400 price for the X3 last year (but then I wouldn't have been able to get the trip photos I did from the past year, so win some, lose some..)

Wouldn't recommend any 360 camera older than X5. X5 is the first model that has replaceable lenses. If you crack the lens on this X4 you are SOL.
