The Insta360 X4 Air bundle stands out as a lighter 360 camera package for travel and selfie stick use, with the 165 gram body drawing praise for reducing vibration and bend compared with heavier models. The free mic promo and coupon stacking add extra value, and the X4 Air is also described as having a replaceable lens. Low light and underwater performance trail the X5, and the included accessory bundle has been inconsistent, with missing selfie stick and mic reports and returns through Insta360 described as difficult.
people who want a 360 action camera bundle around $300 because commenters say they bought the deal and received the free mic, and others report the free-mic code still works (with YMMV for the first-30-users offer).
upgraders coming from older Insta360 models who care about lighter weight for handheld or selfie-stick use because one commenter preferred the X4 Air over the heavier X5, saying the X4 Air feels more reasonable and is less prone to selfie-stick bending/vibration.
buyers who plan to shoot in conditions where framing ahead of time matters because a commenter notes 2D action cameras can be sharper if you can frame the action ahead of time (so you're not relying on post-framing as much).
buyers who want the easiest lens replacement path because commenters warn that if you crack the lens on the X4 Air you may be "SOL," and while others say X4 Air lenses are replaceable, they also describe extra effort/parts compared with X5.
people who need hassle-free returns from the seller because one commenter reported difficult Insta360 store returns and said they may charge fees if the package is opened, making it less convenient than buying from Amazon.
buyers who specifically need every listed accessory in the box because one commenter said their delivered bundle was missing the selfie stick and mic even though those items were listed in the deal.
