Samsung's 85 inch QN90D mini LED is drawing attention as a strong big screen option with excellent picture quality and viewing angles, and the online price at $997.99 includes delivery and warranty. The deal also appears to be price matchable or adjustable through chat, with warranty already active on arrival. A few practical cautions came up around shipping and returns, including a possible $99 shipping fee without Plus membership and some reports of defective units or return hassles. Overall, it looks like a compelling large format TV if the delivery terms work for your order.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. The online price is $997 with delivery and warranty included, and the warranty is already active when the TV arrives. That makes it a straightforward buy if you want the set shipped without extra setup.

  • Yes. A purchase made in-store at $1199 was refunded $202 through chat after the price dropped, and another in-store buy at $1299 was matched down to $997.99. The adjustment may take time with customer service, but it can work.

  • The QN90D is described as the better TV versus the TCL QM7K, but the extra cost may not be worth it for everyone. Compared with OLED, both are said to have great picture quality, and the 85-inch size is the bigger practical advantage.

  • There can be a $99 shipping fee unless you have Sam's Club Plus membership. If you're not a Plus member, that fee can change the real out-the-door price.

Should I get this or the LG c5 65"? Which one is superior ?
I have both OLED and Mini-LED TVs. 85 vs 65 is no comparison. Both have great PQ and bigger is better.

Anyone has idea how to schedule delivery? When I placed the order it only has one option for me which is Dec 11 8am-8pm. I tried to click the reschedule button and there are no other options. Thanks.

Took about a week when i got mine in store last month. Warranty is already active when you get it though so nothing more you need to do—but you should probably cut the barcodes out of the box when you get it and save them

What does delivery look like for a TV this big?

Is this something I need to open and verify damage right then and there and make the delivery folks wait?

That's probably always a good idea no matter what TV you're having delivered but I would check with the people making the delivery on whether they can just take it back right away or not. Sometimes they can, sometimes you need to create a return ticket through the store first.

Going to assume it depends on your location. In the Sam's Club app, I had a reschedule button on the order details page. When I tapped it, I had several dates to choose from, all later than the current one.
