Community Reviews

The Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo stands out as a strong value when the RC2 controller is part of the package, especially versus buying the drone and controller separately or paying more on DJI's site. The RC2 is widely treated as the key upgrade, and the bundle price undercuts separate purchases by a meaningful margin. The main catch is weight, since the drone can land above the 250 gram U.S. registration threshold and DJI notes manufacturing variance that can push it to 254 grams before an SD card. Shipping and seller reliability also deserve caution, with reports of overseas fulfillment, order cancellations, and possible DJI sales restrictions ahead.

  • The combo can cost less than buying the Mini 5 Pro bundle without RC2 and purchasing the RC2 separately.

  • The RC2 controller can be worth adding if you do not already own one.

  • DJI serial number tracking on DJI's website can help verify the unit after delivery.

  • Amazon customer service and credit card purchase protection up to $10,000 can reduce purchase risk.

  • The combo may exceed the 250g US compliance weight limit, which can require registration.

  • DJI's stated manufacturing variance can push an individual Mini 5 Pro up to 254g, making weight compliance risky.

  • Shipping marked "Shipped by Amazon" can still come from overseas, creating customs and extra-cost risk after arrival.

  • The return window may be risky if delivery slips into late January, since the return policy runs through January 31.

It's very clear who the seller is and where they are located. It's also clearly stated that the item ships from Amazon.
words on a website mean nothing unless you are gullible.

Has anyone actually had experience with either seller (guessing no) regarding the legitimacy of these or is this all opinion based?

Or... you could look at seller reviews on Amazon, or experiences on Reddit as mentioned earlier.

The reviews are probably not very good to horrible but those 2 vendors are legit in the drone space on Amazon (i.e. it's not a total scam) if that's what you are asking.

Bc no company has ever faked reviews.....for example one has great rating on amazon until you dig through them on amazon and see there are buried 1,2, and 3 star reviews. Im just sick of the its from china its a scam obviously post despite them never working with international sellers. Occasionally someone on a site like this took the time/risk to order and may have a genuine feedback and opinion of the seller. Sorry for asking a legit question that made your likely racist butt hurt so much.

You can already get this mini 5 without the rc2 for less than 1000$ with immediate shipping if you just keep refreshing and checking. This deal is only really good if you want the rc2

Given the potential issue with US registration requirements (and other countries), why couldn't they have just created a battery that weighs about 5 grams less? A web search says that the battery weighs just less than 72 grams for a 36 minute flight time. A 67 gram battery would have about 33.5 minutes of flight time which still seems reasonable.

Yeah it looks like no matter what this drone broadcasts RID. I just cancelled my order for a used like new m5p with regular controller for 920$. It might pop up again for anyone interested. (The last option)

I messaged air foto and they have no idea why it was cancelled. They told me to place the order again.

DJI doesn't care about FCC registration using a sub-250g drone, why would they?

It's $1059 on DJI's official website...
