Pelican's 22 inch AEGIS hybrid duffel stands out as a rugged carry on bag with a strong price, especially versus much higher Amazon pricing. The build is described as commercial grade and aimed at hard travel, with some comparing it favorably to the ATX line. The main catch is size, since the listed dimensions can run over common airline limits and may force a gate check on stricter carriers. It also carries a 5 year limited warranty, not a lifetime one, so it suits travelers who want tough luggage and can live with airline size checks.
