This Ryobi ONE plus battery bundle stands out as a strong value for expanding an 18 volt tool lineup, especially because the 6 amp hour high performance packs alone are said to justify much of the price. The extra 4 amp hour batteries add useful backup capacity, and the set arrives as three individually packaged items, which makes gifting or parting out easier. The main cautions are that standard 4 amp hour packs can feel weak on higher draw tools, and there are scattered reports of storage related failures or mislabeled batteries. A handy capacity boost if you want more runtime and power headroom.

Common Questions (5)

  • Some Ryobi batteries can stop working after long idle periods, and a slow charger may sometimes help revive them. Others have been stored for months at a time without issues, especially when rotated and used regularly.

  • It includes 6 batteries total: (2) 4.0Ah batteries, (2) 6.0Ah HP batteries, and (2) additional 4.0Ah batteries. The listing can be confusing, but the bundle is a 2x2x2 mix rather than just two 6Ah batteries.

  • At $199, the bundle works out to about $33 per battery, and the 2x 6Ah HP batteries alone are often priced near that amount. That makes the included 4Ah batteries effectively the bonus part of the deal.

  • Yes. The 4Ah batteries are described as fine for low-demand tools like flashlights, while the 6Ah HP batteries are better suited to higher-performance tools that need more power and runtime, such as shop vacs, misting fans, and sliding miter saws.

  • Yes, it arrives as three individually packaged sets. That makes it easier to sell, gift, or split up if you do not want all six batteries.

Weird. I have almost 40 of them, have had most for 4 or 5 years, some closer to 10 years, and I've never had one fail. Then again, I use them all on rotation, but they easily sit for months between uses.
I as well have probably 15 and leave some of them for months at a time and have never once experienced this issue. I think if Ryobi was purposefully programming their batteries to die after a few months of idle, literally millions of them would be failing and there would be a class action lawsuit. I call BS on this

My batteries arrived last night. I'm still amazed by this deal, I believe it is the highest ah/$ I have ever seen on slickdeals. Runtime in the shop vac on a regular 4ah has been lackluster, and i'm looking forward to the 6ah HP in their misting fan this summer.

I received some batteries today. Every single one has a single bar of charge on it. I assume that is normal?

regular 4AH is good for low performance tools such as flashlights, etc.,
Sucks for higher performance tools, which Ryobi is making more of these days, where you need the extra power.
Pretty much useless in many cases, IMO as some tools won't work well with the regular battery

There is only supposed to be (2) 6ah batteries, not 4.
