I am overwhelmed by the options, both name brands and the amazon brands. Any one know of any good deals out there?

They seem to be perfect for decks, check out some of the youtube videos. They are marketed as snow shovels, rather than snow blowers.

Just grabbed the Ego from Ace Hardware [acehardware.com]. $269 w/battery and charger

Ego is sort of a mixed bag - their batteries are $$$ but a few reasons why I like them:
-Tool/Battery combo deals are often on sale for around or slightly more than a battery by itself
-This is ALL they do - their entire focus is on quality battery operated tools
-John Deere just announced an electric mower, and rather than build their own Battery system, they licensed/collabed with Ego to power their mower (that speaks positively imho to Ego)

This video [youtube.com] doe a good job of reviewing - but it should be noted that the Ego he used was their 'multi-head' system which isn't what I got, and one of his negatives was the handle on it - which this newer 'Shovel only' model addresses with a more pistol grip style. Conversely, if you might use the other attachment heads that they offer, the multi-head system might be a better buy for you.

There are others in his review though - it's worth watching.
