This is very likely to be rated higher than 100wh, meaning you can't take it on a plane without pre-registering, although some airports and airlines don't allow over 100wh regardless.

$12 for 30K mAh battery is very suspect especially coming from a no name company and sold by morningsave.

Exactly what I was thinking. That would be a good reason for them to never mention watt hours as most people have no clue the nominal voltage is typically 3.7v which means 30k mAh is over 100Wh meaning it's just slightly too big to take on a plane.

Have had great experiences with MorningSave.

I would however agree that this product does seem "sus" though.

Select the other option, $8.99 flat shipping - then when you enter FSDEALs as the coupon code, it will clear the $8.99 fee so it ships free
Thank you

I'd keep two things in mind:

General rule for carry-on luggage on planes is 100Wh or less, and this battery is 115Wh.

If you want to minimize lithium battery fire risk, I would stick to brands with established track records of safety and certification.

Here is the response Amazon gave when I asked about TSA. It's laughable.

"Yes, the JOYFAR 30000mAh Power Bank is airline approved with 30,000mAh (111Wh) capacity, which falls below the 100Wh limit for carry-on without approval and well below the 160Wh maximum limit."

That's right folks, 111Wh is below 100Wh per Amazon AI.

Serious question. How would TSA identify this when you travel with it in your backpack?
They x-ray backpacks. You also have to pass several signs which show the limit. I'm not sure prison time is worth risking here. Serious question. Do you really think about things before you post them?

IF this had 65W charging, I'd be all over it. BUT....

a) It's HUGE for just charging a phone/tablet, and

b) ONLY 22W charging means it really can't be used to charge a Laptop on the go.

I suppose IF you need something to power your phone/tablet for days on end, this is good, but despite having a Power Bank craving, this one is a PASS for me.
There is a 65w version for more money.

I have a few 20000mah chargers and I got this one because I livestream on youtube outside and this allows me to keep my phone fully charged while livestreaming for hours at a time.

Going on a road trip with kids? Not enough USB ports in the car for charging? Kids arguing about their devices not being charged? Seriously, just because "iT dOesN't hAvE 65w" is an issue for you, it's not an issue for everyone.

This could be the worst of both worlds. Labelled too high to go on planes but likely only has half the advertised capacity. (As has been tested to be the case for most no-name brands.)

I lost one at TSA recently and felt pathetic about it. They do check sometimes and confiscate it. Beware!

Here is the link to the same item on Amazon if someone wants to read reviews. I tried to go through reviews to see if it indeed has 30,000 mah but apart from anecdotal numbers (e.g., "it charged my iPhone 15 Pro Max two times" or another one said it went from 90% to 68% to charge iphone 14) no one has done a serious analysis.

I have previously ordered falsely advertised battery packs on Amazon - so I will remain skeptical of the claimed capacity.

I suspect that was more of a "if I can't tell from the product description that it's not allowed by TSA, how will TSA know it's not allowed when it passes through the machine?" not a "if I can't tell it's not allowed by TSA, why not just get it and gamble that they don't care?"
