I think rtings.com has made me not want a new TV. Like I currently have a 7 year old 65 inch budget TV but I can't upgrade because any TV under $1000 is rated extremely poorly by rtings.

This TV for instance is rated as 5.2 on rtings with the listed pros of... None lol

Is it better than my current TV? Probably. Is it 20 inches bigger too? Yeah. but feels bad buying a bad TV, or a perceived bad TV.

Those ratings are based on the current methodology though. If they test yours, it would probably be much lower on that same scale.
