This Klipsch Reference Premier bundle stands out as a big, high-output home theater setup with strong value for the money. The towers, center, and bookshelves are praised for immersive movie sound, loud playback, and a lively presentation that improves after break in. Pairing it with a Speedwoofer or RP 1400SW is a common fit for rounding out the system. The main cautions are the bright treble, the very large and heavy towers, and occasional finish or warranty frustrations. A solid choice if you want a full Klipsch theater and have room for it.

Common Questions (5)

  • The RP line can sound bright, with some listeners finding it too heavy on treble or harsh at first. It often sounds smoother after a few months of break-in, and it tends to be especially strong for movies rather than laid-back music listening.

  • Yes, a subwoofer is strongly recommended to complete the system. A Speedwoofer or RP-1400SW is a common pairing, and two smaller subs placed around the room can provide better bass distribution than one large sub.

  • The discounted bundle price is $1,499 before tax, and one checkout example came to $1,589 including tax. PayPal Pay Later does not apply once the transaction exceeds $1,500, so it may not work for this purchase.

  • Yes. Adorama customer service can process a $200 refund or store credit after looking up the discounted $1,499 price with the code, and the credit was said to take about 3-5 business days.

  • Yes. The RP-8000F II towers are about 110 lbs each and are large enough that loading them into an SUV can be difficult. The center and towers also need enough cabinet or stand space, so room fit matters more than the subwoofer size.

On their site, it states the price protection policy for the holidays. Returning the order, and then trying to reorder the entire kit - hundreds of pounds of speaker, hundreds of dollars in shipping, $$$ in FTE hours to process everything... a total scumbag move. This is a private, single storefront operation. But you do you partner.
Totally agree. My first option is to sort this out with store

That's a great price. Klipsch are somewhat subjective. You either love them or hate them . I think they are great bang for the buck. Just spent a day installing the surrounds and 4 atmos ceiling to make this all work. All Klipsch with the R-5800-W II in the ceilings and surrounds. I tcan get pretty loud in here.

I've called back 3 times for credits of anywhere from $30-50 for each pair of speakers. I didn't buy as a set. I think I do it three times. Twice I got refunds in the credit card and once was a store credit.
I had the same experience with the price adjustments

I was trying my best to hold out for the all black (ebony) version to go on sale for the previous $1,699 price. But with another $200 off, I can't wait any longer. I do not think the price gets any cheaper than this going forward, and I've watched the entire RP line all year long and have not seen the complete set with these specific components any cheaper all year. Tried to do the PayPal Pay Later to get another 20% off.. but it's limited to purchases under $1,500.. and these come to $1,589, including tax.

Now I just need to find a great deal on the Denon AVR-3800H. Also, Hope that the RP1400 subwoofer comes back on sale for $700.

Same here. I have a ton of amazon credit and was hoping the price would be matched at amazon and sold by Adorama. Looks like that's not happening. I don't like the walnut at all so i may just paint them with premium paint. Now I need another pair of RP-600s and the sub… I wanted two of the premiere 12s though the price of the 16 inch is just too close to pass on it. It's just… I'm scared to buy two of those for my new house.

I just pulled the trigger. Now debating where to buy the extra pair of RP-600m ii I need and what subwoofer. The 1600 sub is overkill yet I want a pair for my new setup…

Agreed on all accounts.. and I like the suggestion of painting the walnut cabinet all black. I mean, it's just wood, right? Why not paint it black if the color really bothers you.

I also need to look into the RP600s for the rear surrounds.. and whatever goes up high on the wall for the full Atmos experience. I already know I want a pair of subwoofers.. ideally 2x RP1400. Which is the only reason Im not bothering with the 16".. just seems ridiculous to have two of those in any house. One is already enough to rattle the dishes in the kitchen. You get two of the 16", you might start knocking shingles off your roof lol

One speaker failed after few months, Klipsch did not honor the warranty as Jamo is owned by Klipsch. Great speakers when they were working though.
