This Klipsch Reference Premier bundle stands out as a big, high-output home theater setup with strong value for the money. The towers, center, and bookshelves are praised for immersive movie sound, loud playback, and a lively presentation that improves after break in. Pairing it with a Speedwoofer or RP 1400SW is a common fit for rounding out the system. The main cautions are the bright treble, the very large and heavy towers, and occasional finish or warranty frustrations. A solid choice if you want a full Klipsch theater and have room for it.

  • The bundle can deliver loud home theater performance after installation and setup work.

  • The Reference Premier line is described as immersive and well-driven by midrange AV receivers.

  • Adorama customer service reportedly honored the $1499 discount code and processed a $200 refund or credit.

  • The speakers can sound harsher at first but may improve after break-in over a few months.

  • The RP-8000F II towers are reportedly very heavy and large, which can complicate loading into an SUV.

  • PayPal Pay Later reportedly fails for this transaction because the total exceeds $1,500.

  • One RP-8000F II tower reportedly arrived missing, with a box containing only a single speaker.

  • Warranty coverage reportedly was not honored after one speaker failed within a few months.

Very nice deal here on these Klipsch!
I was waiting for something like this but jumped on the more refined and slightly smaller/sleeker package of Paradigm Premiere 800F towers and 600C center for $2500 after tax combo.

this or Martin Logan??
It really depends on your ears and what you like, Klipsch and Martin Logan are very different in sound. Have you looked into the Paradigms? They are also on sale direct up to 35%.

Can you share the details for the deals on kef? I am debating myself to buy these or slowly accumulate the kef q series. Please advise.
I got the set piece by piece over time through several avenues though all very YMMV:
Certified refurb with Accessories4Less
Bestbuy openbox deal (was untouched inside)
And I found a flawed ebay listing and pieced enough details about the seller (wasn't hard) to figure out how to contact them outside ebay for a better deal since the listing was messed up anyway. Was a big box type store so wasn't worried. They were scratch and dents but sounded fine.

I had Q150s in my bedroom as my primary L/R and swapped them for the Meta Concerto. The 150s are amazing for the price and i still have them as side surrounds in the living room now. The Concerto has a much fuller low end (unsurprisingly) which i could notice even though i have a SVS SB1000 under my bed in both cases.

I just pulled the trigger. Now debating where to buy the extra pair of RP-600m ii I need and what subwoofer. The 1600 sub is overkill yet I want a pair for my new setup…
I got the RP-280FAs from a couple generations ago, with 2 RP-1400SW subs - blown away by the sound quality and amount of bass per dollar spent.

How do speakers like this compare to something like the Logitech z680 or z906? I had a pair of the z680 years ago and thought they were awesome. Especially the bass! Does a set of these with a proper receiver blow the z680 out of the water or just similar?

Agreed on all accounts.. and I like the suggestion of painting the walnut cabinet all black. I mean, it's just wood, right? Why not paint it black if the color really bothers you.

I also need to look into the RP600s for the rear surrounds.. and whatever goes up high on the wall for the full Atmos experience. I already know I want a pair of subwoofers.. ideally 2x RP1400. Which is the only reason Im not bothering with the 16".. just seems ridiculous to have two of those in any house. One is already enough to rattle the dishes in the kitchen. You get two of the 16", you might start knocking shingles off your roof lol
My partner is already nervous when I told her I got the 16 inch. I truly wanted a 4x sub setup as I have a newer denon X6800H though everything I read online said one amazing big sub is still better than two smaller ones. It's just getting the RP-1600sw for $999 which is now only $100 more than the RP-1200sw at $899, it feels like a no brainer. Now I wonder if my denon can do 4x RP16s….
I'm moving into a new house today and have the new theater room painted and prepped. Have to wall mount the LG G3 77 inch yet and run new speaker cables before these new speakers get delivered.

Just spoke to Adorama customer service. Had to tell them the discount code for them to look up the discounted pricing of $1499. From there, they agreed right away to process the refund of $200. Said the credit should be processed in 3-5 business days. Easy-peezee!
I didn't think they were open on sundays. I'm having the speaker set and the RP1600 delivered to my office and now worried the sub won't fit in my suv for transport. I just don't want it delivered home and dropped off when no one is home.

It's a vinyl wrap. You might want to look into the best approach for painting vinyl. Wrapping could look better, and would preserve resale value in the future.
I'm glad the deal was for (walnut?) color. Even though it will clash with the room and existing speakers... it gives off a sense of "high-end," everytime Ingo to the theater I'll be reminded that these are the PREMIER line, and that I'm special.
Seriously though the wood-color generally sells out first (researched multiple speakers multiple manufacturers, obviously depends) and sometimes the black speakers sell for a discount compared to the walnut/cherry etc. Although you could argue this is an example of the inverse, I believe people will place a slight premium on wood-vinyl, for whatever that's worth.

Where are you reading that because it's dead wrong and against conventional wisdom. Two smaller subs in different locations around your theater setup is definitely better than one big sub. It's physics.

Can I still use this setup if I don't want 5.1? I was originally planning on only a 3.1 system for my apartment

I have this setup, plus two pairs of RP600 for side and rear surrounds. I also have the Klipsch Dolby ATMOS speakers, which I am tempted to replace with 2 pairs of RP600 mounted up high. I don't care for the Klipsch subwoofer, so I have 2 HSU subs; the VTF-TN1 and VTF-15H MK2. There are many great subwoofers out there. Budget and size are your limitations.

Yeah I gotta say the walnut looks very handsome in actual owner pictures. And you are right the wood coloring with the gold accents does give the speakers a premium look. To be honest I dont care enough to change the cabinets as my basement home theater is light controlled and its so dark when watching the projector you wouldn't notice the cabinet color the on the speakers anyways.
