Have a corded Wahl beard trimmer that uses the exact same style of heads and unfortunately the way they interface to the body creates a major wear point. Once the wear gets to a certain point, the heads will not want to stay attached. I did probably have my trimmer for 10 years, so I suppose that's not too bad, but I explicitly bought a corded model hoping to get way more life out of it.

I've always liked Wahl trimmers, and found them superior to Norelco's beard trimmers. However, there are enough 1 star reviews from 2025 to persuade me not to buy it. Apparently their lithium batteries shipped in 2025 trimmers fail to charge within months of purchase. The only warranty remedy requires you to ship the trimmer to Wahl at your expense. I suppose you could do the repair yourself, but that's a lose / lose set of choices. Meanwhile, Costco frequently has the Norelco trimmer on sale (including now IIRC), and well, it's Costco, you can return it without hassle if it fails unreasonably.

I bought this and after several years the button covering disintegrated, but I was still able to poke it to turn it on. Then the blade component essentially exploded when I set it down.
